Short update

Yaaay so except for the shower set the other accessories for the M.bathroom have arrived
and they match perfectly with the faucets on our vanity

On another note this year Santa got me some photo editing software
which I started playing with last night
turns out my computer is too slow for it
so will have to upgrade to a better computer at some point
so that I can use it without the program shutting down on me mid-editing grrrr

Here are a couple I started working with
Thacker's at Christmas :)
they are soooo close to buying their first home
we are excited for them...thinking of furniture and what not
at least they will have some pics to frame on their new walls!

I can't wait to click and play around some more with the software...

Master Bath Part 4

That's right there has been some progress
on the master bath reno
even during our relaxing holiday we got some work done
mostly just selecting, ordering and moving...

Look who's here....another truck
With our new (heavy) vanity :D
We thought we would move it upstairs
yeah right I could barely move it
so we took the mirror upstairs and waited for more muscles to arrive :)
But we just had to take a peek :)
that's right we did not get the vanity with the vessel sinks
see which one we got in this post
(Aunt Vickie we hope this is the vanity you were rooting for :)
A side view... can't wait to see it all installed :)
Some more exciting buys...
we bought the tub and moved it up ourselves
Had to stop midway to take a pic of course...
Love it!
Grant got some help and they moved the heavy ass vanity
up a floor....must have been 250lbs+
its up now and it's not going anywhere except into the bathroom that is
Oh and turns out a toilet is a lot heavier than a tub!
I can't help Grant move this either
so we might take it up in pieces or get help
for now it sits in the garage :)

Today we ordered all the faucets for the shower and tub...
it is all coming together
soooooon it will be all done
can't wait! :D

More to come...stay tuned...

Exciting underground activity!

Grant finally went through his twelve boxes of books...

Now there are six boxes of books to give away
and the rest sit neatly on the shelves...

I got home after traveling for a few days
to find our entryway looking like a shipping center...
Grant all excited unwrapping all the goodies...

Then figuring out that the mounting bracket was a little too small
But Grant wasn't ready to give up yet...
My boys all relaxing on the new couch :)
at least they left me a spot
 Grant was so persistent...
didn't even have to ask him to do it!
hmmmm something wasn't right ....made me wonder why...
 Here is the why!
he enjoyed watching his first game on big screen
Iowa State lost on big screen... priceless ;)
 Go State!

Happy New Year!

Wow 2012 is here
super excited ...our house is scheduled to get all done this year :))))
no more to-do list!

We had a good relaxing holiday and we hope you did too
yup that means not a whole lot happened around the house
not to worry still got a lot of stuff to talk about :P
just been a lil lazy lately to blog :)

Lets see where to begin...
Yaaay the ceiling around the hood
yup remember the hole in the kitchen ceiling

Oh and since I was up there I decided to take out the ugly
above the sink :)

That's right see that curly wood above the sink...
Now you don't! :)
All it needs now is a pretty hanging pendant and some window shades
Then we had to fix the hole where the old light used to be...

We still needed some light in that area so we added
a smaller recessed light that would fit by the exhaust duct

 TADA...
yes it looks so much smaller here
but is just as bright and does not look bad
will look awesome once the drywall is plastered and textured
Then there was just a big mess of drywall dust everywhere to clean :/
Now as soon as we locate the misplaced screws
needed to put up the cover around the exhaust hood
it will be done.
Oh and the plastering and texturing will get done soon too...someday
just not today :)
