Master Bath Part 1

BEFORE

Grant took out the toilet and we took off the tiles
when we first moved in

the toilet is now in the tub :)

The bathroom is not going to look anything like this when we get done :)

 The vanity and mirror...has to go too

 So for some reason they have ~2.5ft between the toilet and the tub,

but only ~1ft between the toilet and the vanity :/

we might get a plumber to give us an estimate on what it will take to move

it to the right about a foot or so

 So not contemporary...

And so it begins...

 

 

Yaaay!

Then we took off the drawers and doors...

 Then the counter top came off...

 

 

Challenge #1...

turns out that the water inlets come in from the floor instead of coming in from the wall :/

we were hoping to re-use the cabinet but we might not do that anymore

will take it to the laundry room instead.

 

 And so we tried to cut it out...

first we needed to take off the drawer channel and support

 The cutting...

 But it just could not be that easy/simple

turns out there is a kick plate at the back too :/

so this is where we left it for now...till we can figure out what we need to do

On an exciting note...we bought tiles for the floor

not sure if you can see the color - it is a light tan/white porcelain

this is just a sample we decided to go with a 12"x12" size

Oh and we have narrowed down our vanity to either this...

We love both of them

Which one do you like???

you are just going to have to wait and see what we pick :)
