To-do/done list

Ok so here is the latest to do/done list...

a lot of stuff we have been working on...like the basement was never on the list

so I guess its not a very strict list

here are the past four lists if you are interested...

Green = working on

Blue = to do 

Although it does not seem like a lot

omg it is a loooot...we are really happy with all the progress we have made

can't wait till it is all done

maybe for new year's I will do a then and now blog :)

Project Basement...

While we wait for our master bath vanity to arrive

work on the basement is in full swing...

we added some floating shelves for Grant's books...

 TADA...

so much better and contemporary than regular bookshelves

 The spot where our fireplace goes has been marked :)

 we now have two separate spaces...

 I have my very own creative zone...

shelves still have to be mounted along with other accessories

but it already looks awesome!

The audio video equipment for the basement is on its merry way....super exciting!!!

Christmas sparkle!

We started with decorating the inside

here is a peak...

It's going to be a white christmas

but only indoors

we haven't been getting our regular quota of snow

and now they say it might not be a white christmas

hmmm glad that we don't have to deal with driving in the snow

but no pretty white Christmasy snow :(

6 days to Christmas!

Exciting little bits...

 Couch for four...

yes the kitty is getting bigger every day

they just love stretching out and taking long naps...on us of course

 We got out the Christmas tree...high time we know!

 made a spot for it in front of the window

 

 It's up and lit and decorated but still needs some touching up

We finally cut up and threw out those trellises from the yard

 And cleaned up the mess in the garage...

 Only to make room for the vanity we took out of the master bath

and pieces of the tub...will cut it up little by little and send it out with the garbage each week

 

 We re-did the lights and added some more...

also had to change out a light on that string of icicles

and that little dead gap is lit up again

 

 Check out the lights on our street

 Its weird but wonderful that the weather is still awesome

we did have some real icicles

but they all melted away...

 The inside decoration is still work in progress...

but yes we finally have some stuff up

oh well we will get it done before Christmas

The basement....our exciting near completion project :)

we went shopping and bought some accessories

 Oh and of course a new toy/tool for every job...

 We now have some panels and some drapes up

exciting to see it all come together :)

Master bath update:

Plumbers were found and we have our quotes

Vanity has been ordered online.....yaaay!

Tub and toilet have been selected

we are getting there... :)

I wonder what/how much we will have done the next time I post

9 days to Christmas!!!

Update

Just a quick update...

We finished painting the basement just some tape to take off yaaaaah!

re-did the Christmas lights outside :)

still trying to get the inside decorated but the xmas tree is up and done :)

went shopping today and bought some awesome stuff for the basement :)

the master bathroom is still waiting for a plumber...can't seem to find one :/

soon hopefully...it might get done sometime this year...just maybe

In the mean time the countdown to Christmas is on :)

13 days to go....yaaaah!

Master Bath Part 3

Most exciting work we have done thus far

taking out the tub in the master bathroom!

Grant's coworker came to help it took only 2.5 hrs :)

and yes this time all I did was take pics and clean up

I let the boys have their fun ;)

 

 

 Oh Grant all proud with his sawzall :)

 It revealed issues with the plumbing...of course!!!

so we did some investigating

 Not sure if you can see but now we know why the

water inlets are in the floor instead of the wall

poor planning!

 Same is the case with the shower/tub plumbing

again a lazy plumber probably did this job

there goes our budget out the window :/

 

 It is going to be an awesome bathroom when we are done with it!

 Next ....find a plumber and get some quotes!
