Now that summer is here we needed to sit down and look at our to-do list again.
Realistically we just would not be able to finish everything this summer.
So moved things over to next summer and will try and get as much of the rest done.

Blue = to do
Next we took a look at our finances and our budget.
It was time to seriously think about retirement - where we want to be in 25 to 30 years.
And how much money we want to have. It has been on the back burner for a while - time to take action.
We decided to start saving aggressively for retirement. They say it is never too early! Especially since life is so uncertain and we won't have pensions or social security by the time we retire. If we do it will just be an added bonus. (So I am learning all about the stock market and investing)
I am happy that we are not stupid when it comes to financial decisions and know better than to live beyond our means. We have learned to use credit cards to our benefit. Instead of us paying them they pay us. Ha!
Here is what our budget looks like at the moment. I am sure it will change as life changes.
The home projects is a temporary thing till we get everything we need for the house (and no
this budget does not include our renovation budget -for that we have a fixed amount set aside).
If people took a closer look at their finances I am sure they would realize things they didn't before.
