Busy busy busy!

Ok so its been a while since I last posted

we have been busy trying to get things done around the house

time is really precious and every evening is another project to complete

we will feel like we are in heaven once we are done

we won't be completely done with all the projects we want to do anytime soon

but the ones we have deemed important will get done :)

Like the Master Bathroom...

that's right as I type this Grant is putting the finishing touches

will have pics to post really sooooon!

Here is just a phone pic of Grant grouting the tiles

The Master Bedroom....

the room and trim has been painted, the closet is done,

the bed has been selected, I have a really nice vanity

now we just have to figure out the mattress

but I think we are going to wait till after the baby comes

just so that I can make a fair decision :)

other stuff like drapes and rugs will be bought at a later time as well

The Laundry room...

making progress on that room too

although the first floor is our priority right now

once the upstairs is done we can concentrate on this room

The Nursery...

My coworkers just had a baby shower for us

and we got a lot of cute little stuff :)

will have to post a whole another blog on that :)

Full speed ahead!

I can't believe how much we have got accomplished

the laundry room flooring is done with trim and all :)

Oh check out the neat washer-dryer stand we built

now we can say we have tried everything from masonry to carpentry :)

Here is Miki posing with it...doesn't it look gorgeous it even has molding!

Next we have to finish patching the ceiling and painting the walls

then the cabinets can go in :)

Don't worry we haven't forgotten about the master bath

our paint arrived...

So that went up on the wall :)

The vanity is also in place and ready to connect the plumbing next

Looks awesome!!!

 Now comes the tedious part

clean-up...

we got to get our master bedroom from looking like this....

to this.... :)

Yup....wish us luck for the final push to get it all done

Just 7 weeks to go before the baby gets here....yikes!

Laundry room update

So remember when we bought all that wood to build a stand for the washer & dryer

Here it is built and all primed before the two coats of paint went on

it looks really nice all done can't wait to show you what it looks like in the laundry room

The walls have been patched...

just the ceiling left to do

Today the new floor went down :)

Next we need to get electrical work done in the laundry room

have to add an outlet for the deep freezer

So tomorrow we will probably work on the master bath :)

Laundry Room Reno begins :)

Ok so we have started working on the Laundry room :)

Here are the plans...

Here is what the laundry room looks like right now

it has that useless closet that needs to come out

so that we can put the tall pantry cabinet in its place

So today Grant worked on getting that closet out...

 TADA...the closet is gone

we have more prime real estate to use :)

Laundry room plans

Now that the bathroom is close to done

I can talk about our laundry room

Right now its a mess with random things stored

and there is a useless closet that needs to be taken out

oh and it also has ugly wallpaper and linoleum flooring

so here is what we want it to become...

We also will be putting in a floating floor that

we purchased a while back when it was on sale

the cabinets have been purchased

The other day we purchased all that we need to build

the stand to put the washer and dryer on

We had home depot make the cuts for us

so it's going to be a pretty easy project to build :)

Next will be demolishing that closet in the laundry room

and go on from there.
