More TADAAAA's!

Ok so I did some rearranging while Grant was at Frisbee...

Still not how I would like it to be
Oh well just trying to work with what we have
Still have a lot of clutter that I need to get rid off
Will get to that once we are done with renovation work...

Kale chips...I stacked them on so all pieces did not get crispy
Grant would like not to try this again :)
Will just make them better next time ;)

  Finally got to these...
these were some frames Grant's mom got him for
his bare apartment walls in Ames
They just needs to be reupholstered to match our deco

So we got some cool fabric for $7
Thought we try two different prints in the same color scheme
Wiki was wondering what I was up to...
 TADAAA...
 1st pattern....naaaa
that 2nd fabric combo just doesn't look right
 2nd pattern....
so used just the one fabric
naaa still not liking it...
 3rd pattern...like this one for now :)

Then we have wanted to try and find a way to prevent Wiki from jumping off the deck
so here is what we did :)
Yup we now have a cat pen/deck :)
Hoping it works!
Gave it a try...Wiki was wondering what this stuff was...
but i bet he was already planning his new escape route
Well he could not get through the railings
so here he is trying to get over the couch to jump off the top
Oh well just pulled it away and it was fine
 Mission accomplished!

It's sooo good to be home :)

Ok so remember how messy the Garage was...
TADA...
The only thing out now is our luggage and some stuff that needs to be donated etc...
All the lawn stuff that needs to go into the shed is in one corner of the garage

Found the perfect place for those many bags of soil..
in our unused garbage can
not sure how we ended up with so many bags of soil
oh well its not like it is going to go bad...more for next year!
Enough space to park a car!
Yeah that toilet will go too as soon as we get to it :)
saved all the board boxes to use when we do some spray painting.
Made Grant clean the push mower it was covered with dirt!
I should have taken a before picture...here it is midway
We came across our missing weights finally
they were in the box with our toaster oven
oooh packers - they find the weirdest spots to pack things
Then we unpacked all our glasses
and came across a casualty
the only one we have ever had moving!

We also finished up Bedroom #2
And decided to go ahead and put all the doors back on
we will get them all off when we are ready to paint them

Look what I found for next year :)
Got these planters for $15
Grant is happy cause he doesn't have to build them anymore...
Yaaaay to veggie planting next spring!

Today I got some nice Kale
we have a farmers market right by work
Took out the stems and cut them up bite size
And now have a big pot of it :)
Going to try making some kale chips!

We finally got everything we need to patch up our kitchen ceiling
now just have to start working on it...

Guess who's here!!!
Our shed in a box :) Grant had the delivery guys put it under our deck
I don't think it is 567lbs like they say it is...at least it doesn't look that heavy
I was expecting it to be a lot bigger ...hmmm
So maybe this weekend we will start on our foundation :D

Until next time .....bubyeeeeee

Our wants and maybe some needs ;)

We would like a color scheme like this one for our master bedroom
relaxing and peaceful...
I like how the art is coordinated with the bedding in the pic below
would like to try doing something like this in one of our bedrooms...
We want to tile and update our master bathroom...
not sure about which colors we want yet
white or tan maybe :/
We also found an awesome comfy leather rocking reclining sofa set
we hope to get it for our basement someday
along with...
this even more awesome projector :) and home theater system
someday...
We also want to build-in some storage/work/craft space in our basement
something like in the pic below :)
To make this happen we would like to get some cool power tools like these :)
A circular saw with some kind of a guide and saw horses...
If we get those then we might not need this table saw...
This is also a handy saw to have for all those angle cuts
a miter saw :)
Then a place to keep all our tools
we would like to add some storage in the garage...
 So many options for organization...
Last but not the least some trees for the back yard :)

All planned for some future time
can't wait!!!

Bedroom #2 - check!!!

Ok here is the room before...of course with that wall paper trim that we
had to scrape off...
Then you seen us prime the walls here....and below is Grant painting over our sample colors...
 Then cut in the walls....
This time I used the edging tool and it worked very well got really nice sharp edges.
But I didn't use a roller over it like they say you should :(
So now you can see the thick edge through the paint :(
Anyways lesson learned...
All done...we used one of the darker Gray's from the first floor wanted to
 continue with the color scheme...
We really don't want to have to repaint when it comes time to sell
so keeping everything calm and soothing.
Then we put some stripes of different widths on two of the walls...
we have big plans for the other two walls...will leave that for another blog ;)
 Grant applying paint...
 TADA...

The color changes under different lighting...

So what do you think...we like how it turned out :)
Makes the room seem a lot wider
All the trim is painted nice white and kinda shiny
Even the Attic door is no longer yellow
Oh and then we remembered we still had to paint the ceiling
the primer looked so nice and white that we forgot
anyways we got that done too...

TADA...looks different in this light again :)

Wow so I was talking to someone about all the changes we have made in the house
and he asked me how long have we been in the house
and I realized it has only been three! months
we have been a couple of busy bees...got soooo much accomplished
can't wait to get it all done
then maybe we will do some world traveling before we start our next big project

What's Next:
I guess our shed arrives sometime early next week!
In a box so it needs to be assembled on a foundation yet to be built.
Soooo I guess we are going to be measuring, digging, hammering, mixing and alooooot more!
Stay tuned :)
I have to head to BBQ state next week for a few days...cya sooon afta :)
