Winter is here...and so is Christmas...well almost

Ok so we got back from Iowa and ours was the only house

on our street with no Christmas lights :/

and then we waited too long to put them up

that is until there was snow on the ground :)

Got got some awesome fake poinsettias

the idea is we can use it every year :)

 And a whole bunch of other stuff as you can see...

 And then on a sunny morning with snow on the ground we put up lights :)

still not happy with the garland on the railings though

needs some rearranging

 We got a wreath that lights up...

 And now we have the brightest lights on the street...

You can't miss it! Ha ha ha :)
LED's sure are BRIGHT!

Back on schedule...

So much has been happening since we got back from our vacation

for starters the basement is almost painted just a little bit more to do

check it out...

THE BEFORE... (we have been using it for storage so excuse the mess)

 

Did a looot of taping, the usual patching and sanding..

 

Then we took out all the outlet face plates and removed the 

surround sound speaker mounts and cables...

 Uuuuuh our colors...we were deciding between the two pinks...

went with the one on the left :)

 It looks almost red in yellow light...

 So we painted...

 

 

 Miki found a spot in the middle of all the action

 Yup it's looking funtabulous!

 

Then yesterday morning we got our most awaited delivery

our couch! will post pics of it once the basement is all done.

Haaa just noticed how our driveway accommodates a big truck so nicely :)

Oh yes those are our christmas lights!

On a break!

Just incase you are wondering what we have been upto

we are on a looong holiday :)

 

 Just got back from sunny Hawaii, cool Monterey and rainy Santa Barbara

to cold Michigan :/

Next headed to colder Iowa ;)

Good news is that are cats still remember us, the roof on our house is a little shaken up

but the house is still standing and we have finally started working on the basement!

Will post more on our vacation and the basement soon.
