The blue house

Just got back from Lancaster Pennsylvania...it was spring there! The grass was green and the weather was pleasant. It was not as rural as I was expecting it to be and no I did not see any Amish people. A really nice place to visit I think.

House buying update...

OK so this house buying process is taking longer than we expected not to mention getting really tiring. Our offer on the blue house was accepted as is, then we got an inspection done, gave the sellers a list of things that needed fixing, today they came back with their response. They didn't give us all we asked for but instead threw in their riding lawnmower :).
We were like maybe we should counter and ask them to throw in the grill too...
why not right ;)

Oh and did I mention who decided to make an appearance finally...the yellow house that went into foreclosure is back on the market. Perfect timing don't you think? making our decision even more difficult!

But we are so ready to be done with this whole process so that we can finally stop thinking 'house' and actually continue living, our lives have been on hold ever since we decided to buy a house. It is mentally draining, not sure if it is like this for everyone but it sure isn't as fun as they make it seems on HGTV. Maybe we are just over thinking things, but we are done for now at least.

Trying to decide between these two houses has been really hard. Do we want to say no to the blue house not knowing if the bank will even accept our offer on the yellow house? Or do we forget the blue house go for the yellow house and risk ending up with no house after it is all done? With each having equal number of pros and cons it all came down to timing.
We are still getting a good deal on the blue house and since there is no guarantee on us actually getting the yellow house anytime soon.
Blue wins!
We are going to go buy the blue house! Seems like an easy decision, but trust me it was not! We are happy or at least we think we are :)

We have so many plans for the house...next we go to the bank and hope closing is not too far away.
Unfortunately nothing is final or done till we actually sign the papers at closing.
Stay tuned ;)
